Grow Your Bougainvillea In A Pot!!

Bougainvilleas have become so popular. Gardeners have discovered if you grow them in pots they are more manageable in smaller gardens and they flower through the warmer months, and make everyone happy.

Gardeners from warmer countries love Bougainvilleas, it reminds them of home, they absolutely love the bright colours.

We always get excited when a new delivery arrives.
What colours do we have this time???? These aren’t labelled so you need to hurry in so you know what colour you’re getting.

They grow spectacularly in Tim’s Best Potting mix, don’t disturb the roots, very gently tip your Boug out of the pot. Don’t tickle these, they just want to be planted quickly and watered well.

They love those sunny spots around your house, they are sun lovers, more sun, more flowers, it’s simple. Prune them to keep tidy, it’s easy. They will grow in pots for ever. $29.99 these will walk out.

I walked past this fabulous looking shrub today and it had the most amazing flowers, which had the most beautiful perfume. It’s called “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.”

It’s a funny name for a shrub, but the flowers change colour almost every day. They come out mauve then fade to white during the week.

I love this old world shrub, with its glossy green leaves, and highly fragrant flowers. It grows in full sun or part sun and there are dwarf or taller growing varieties available at our nursery.

Like many plants in this family, the flowers are toxic so don’t eat them, and don’t let your pets eat them.

There are many toxic plants in your garden including Tomato plants, so don’t eat them either.

Nicole sent me a lovely photo yesterday of her Tomato plant which she recently planted using Tim’s Best Potting mix. She was so surprised how quickly her plant has grown compared to other mixes she is using. Isn’t that nice.

It has very sweet tasting, apricot sized tomatoes. The plant gets covered in over 100 fruit. It can be grown in a big pot, it’s easy to grow, you don’t need any nasty chemicals.

Plant it in a big pot using Tim’s Best Potting mix. Stake to support the foliage and the fruit. It looks fabulous when it’s covered in sweet tasting fruit. They can ripen on the vine.

Water it daily, apply Tim’s FAST FOOD at Christmas time, to extend the fruiting season. This Tomato just keeps giving. You’ll be giving fruit away to friends.
