“Little Audrey” Will Flower For 100 Days Or More. - Mar 14, 2025

Dear gardening friends
A couple of weeks ago we released this New Dwarf Crepe Myrtle called "Little Audrey". We had people from all over the state wanting one. I even got a message from the breeder.

It turns out Crepe Myrtle "Little Audrey" was bred by Mal Morgan, right here in Macarthur, at Cobbity University.

Mal sent me this fabulous photo of "Little Audrey" growing in a big pot. It's absolutely spectacular, and it's still flowering now, and it's going into autumn.

Yesterday we got another 50 plants delivered and we potted them up into 200 mm pots, using Tim's Best Potting mix. This makes them sprout new growth and they get even more flowers.

Crepe Myrtle "Little Audrey" flowers for 100 days over summer, and when we get rain, they flower into autumn too.

You have to find room for one of these super hardy shrubs for your garden. They stay so small you can grow it in a big pot like Mal, using Tim's Best Potting mix.

We have two dwarf Crepe Myrtles in stock today. "Little Audrey" which is pink flowering and "Enduring Summer Red" which gets fabulous red flowers. Both these plants are super hardy and easy to grow.

Once established they look after themselves in the garden. They need more love when grown in pots.

Come and see us this weekend. These new dwarf Crepe Myrtles will sell out fast. Plants cost $34.99. They in bud and flower now.

It's crazy times in America, and it's easy to get all upset when you see your share portfolio crumble before your eyes. But there's one thing that will make you smile again, they made me smile this morning.

Johnny Jump up violas or Heartsease, are just so giving. Plant them in pots in sunny places around your garden, and they will make you smile and see the sunny side of life.

They will flower like this right through autumn and winter and early spring. They are seriously amazing.
Of course they will grow so much bigger and better if you pot them up using Tim's Best Potting mix. We've got secret ingredients that just make plants pop.

We have beautiful potted colour, you can change your life for the better for just $14.00. Yes four viola plants will fill a pot and make you feel good.
Flowers make you happy!

Some plants are so fabulous, you can't believe they are still a gardeners secret. Star Jasmine 'Tricolour' is one of those plants. It's a Landscape Designers go to plant, when they need a colourful ground cover, that thrives in sun or shade.

It stays low and seems to thrive in all types of soil. The new growth is pink and white and then it fades to green. One plant will cover a square metre of ground.

They will even grow under trees once you get them growing with a bit of love.

This plant will pay you back with tricolour foliage all year round. It's so tough you won't believe it. Happily grows in pots or gardens. If you improve the soil using Tim's Best Potting mix they will grow faster.

We've just bought 6 trays from a nursery in Dural. I can't tell you who they are. This is a gardeners secret remember.

Please don't share this story, until you've bought some or we will be sold out. Plants cost $18.99.
They are beautiful bushy plants.

This is going to put the cat amongst the pigeons!
I've got the Italian cousins staying over, and they are very set in their ways about what goes with what, when it comes to cooking. Italian food is amazing, and it's often so simple, so why would you add a Banana?

But my son informed me that he was inviting the soccer team over tonight with the reserves, and possibly brothers and sisters too. He wants them to meet his Italian cousin, so I've got the slow cooker out. I'm going to work today, so I need to be cooking it while I'm away.

This is my Lamb chop Sweet Curry. My mate Kenny who comes from Sri Lanka told me that this isn't a curry. I told him, it's Tim's Curry.

If you want to cook Tim's Curry here's the recipe. You can get it started then go gardening all day.

Chuck in 6x Lamb Grillers with fat removed and dusted in flour. Add 2x chopped Egg plants, 2x Celery Sticks, 1x Leek, 1x Onion, Clove of Garlic, 4x Anchovies, 3x Packets of kids Sultanas, 1x Rotten Banana, 2x Big Cans of Tomatoes, 3x Table spoons of Roasted Curry Powder, 2x Homegrown Chillies chopped up, Worcestershire sauce, Soy Sauce, cracked Pepper, Pink Salt. Rosemary, Mint, Italian herbs, yes.

Cook on high till lunchtime then put on low.
Add Coconut Cream before serving with White Rice.

It will be warm but not too hot. I've grown Oasis Indian Chillies. I don't think the Indians would be too happy. They aren't that hot.

P.S I added a can of Chickpeas, Blackbeans and Yogurt.

I ended up feeding 15 people with my Curry. Isn't that amazing, and boys went back for seconds. One of the boys had never eaten a Curry before. He said he's tried so many things at our house that he's never eaten before. That made me smile so much.

Isn't cooking magical, it brings people together. There's so much laughter here tonight, I love it.
Happy gardening
Tim
