Fabulous Fish Pots!!! - Dec 13, 2024

Dear gardening friends

These fabulous Fish Pots have arrived just in time for Christmas. They come in 3 amazing colours and they cost just $24.99. They are so much fun, you'll want one too! They will sell out fast.
We love the colours!!!!

Modern houses have tiny front gardens, but you still have room to plant a tree. I spotted this beautiful Crepe Myrtle "Tuscarora" flowering outside a house in Elderslie. It just made the house pop!!!!

Crepe Myrtles are fast growing small trees that can flower for 100 days over summer. They are upright growing trees, so they are perfect for smaller gardens. They are super fast growing and just so tough.

Here at Tim's Garden Centre we have the full selection of Crepe Myrtles. We have all your favourite colours and we have dwarf growing varieties too.

Crepe Myrtle "Tuscarora" is one of our favourites. It has these red flowers, that change colour with the season. Men called this Red. Women call it Fuchsia pink. Men only know 5 colours.

We have beautiful trees with straight trunks from $34.99. They will flower this summer. Dig a bag of Tim's Best Potting mix into the soil where you're going to plant it. This will make it grow even faster!!!!

When you plant a tree in your garden it gives you shade and it also gives you privacy. It will make your house feel safer. Isn't that Interesting?

Tonight I made something delicious and I'm having it for lunch tomorrow too. It's called Italian Meat ball Soup. I've just made that name up. I made this dish up. It's so easy to make and very cheap.

First I made a spaghetti sauce without the Spaghetti. Fry down an onion, cut up very fine. Add Celery, 1x Leek, Garlic, Capers, Black Olives, Rosemary, Lemon Juice, Pink Salt and Pepper. Once it browns, add a large can of Tomatoes. Add Worcestershire sauce, Soy sauce, Fish sauce, 3x Anchovies, and Black Olives.

Cook this on medium for 20 mins with the lid on.
Add some water to make it soupy.

Now make the meat balls. You need 3/4 kilo of Pork mince. Add 1/2 Leek cut super fine, Cappers, Rosemary, Garlic, 3x Anchovies, 1x Egg, 3x Table spoons of Cous Cous, Pink salt and Pepper.

Mix this all through with your hands, then make small meat balls by rolling them in your palms. Fry these in Olive oil on medium heat until brown. Salt and Pepper.

Now serve your sauce up in a ramekin then add the meat balls on top. Grate Parmesan cheese over the top. Serve with crusty bread. This was seriously amazing and so easy to make. I'm having it for lunch tomorrow. It tastes so good.

Eat with a soup spoon. Dip your bread in the sauce while it's cooling.
Yum yum.

That feeling of surprise when you discover why your car smells so bad. A half eaten Butter Chicken and the missing spoon. The family ducks for cover when you send them the photo.

The dog somehow gets the blame. It's been a long time since the dog used a spoon. If it's true, it might be getting chop sticks for Christmas.

The car smells better all ready. It's a Pajero.
Life doesn't get any better than this.
I've got the window down, with my head out.
I look like a French Mastiff.

Every year Hayden grows us Snail vines here at the nursery, and he sells them for just $10.00, to raise some Christmas cash, so he can buy his daughter's Christmas gifts. Yes it's a good news story.

Snail vines are super fast growing climbing plants, that flower straight away, and they flower through the warmer months. The sweet fragrance is amazing. They could be grown in a big pot with supports using Tim's Best Potting mix.

They will grow happily on a fence. Just add some wire or trellis and stand back quickly. This vine could grow over you like a spider web. It thrives in full sun or part sun.

NSW Christmas bush has arrived and we've got beautiful big bushy plants, covered in red flowers, just in time for Christmas. Plants cost $39.99.
They make amazing floral Christmas Gifts.
We gift wrap them for free.
We always sell out.

We have lots of Christmas Gifts here, come and see us for hassle free Christmas shopping and easy parking. Don't forget about our $50 Christmas Gift Cards for just $40.00. See store for details.

Happy gardening
Tim
