Make A Pizza In 5 Minutes? - Jul 26, 2024

Dear gardening friends
We have the most amazing climbing Rose here called "Kiss Me Kate". It has the most beautiful old world roses with the most amazing perfume. It's been selected by Kordes nursery to be in their Parfuma series. These roses must have intense fragrance.

Kordes nursery also grows roses without using fungicides. If the roses can't survive without spraying they won't grow them. That means "Kiss Me Kate" is easy to grow.

The fragrant pink flowers are large and the plant gets smothered in blooms all Spring, Summer and Autumn. Grow it over your fence or rose arbor.
Grow it up a post.

We have plants here now, they cost $39.99.
Dig some Tim's Cow Manure into your soil while planting. It will give your Rose the nutrients it needs to thrive. We have amazing new season roses here today.

It was blowing a gale outside so I decided to do some gardening inside. What I'm doing is so simple you won't believe it could make such a difference.

The potting mix in my pots has dropped. It composts over time and it disappears. So I'm topping up the pots with Tim's Best Potting mix. The results will be magical.

I'm only putting about 3cms of Tim's Best potting mix. When I water it, the finer particles will wash into the cracks on the side. This stops the water just running down the sides and out the bottom.

Now the water has to pass through the potting mix. All of a sudden the plant gets more water and more nutrients.

Tim's Best Potting mix has a fertiliser that lasts for 6 months. It also has a wetting agent that makes the older potting mix accept water again. More water, and more nutrients, means more growth.

Healthier plants can fight off pests and diseases better. Happy plants are happier for a reason. It's all soil based, and if they get enough light, they thrive.

Try this at home with your indoor plants this weekend. One bag of Tim's Best Potting mix will topdress at least 10 plants. Water in once you've finished.

It will start working straight away. You'll notice results within a couple of weeks.

There's a secret garden in Menangle that you might have never noticed. But now that I'm driving just 50kms an hour through this beautiful, one shop country town, I'm seeing things I've never seen before.

I really want to thank that loving Police woman who helped me see the world. She made me notice this amazing kerbside garden that grows without hand watering. Maybe this is how gardens will look in the future. It's succulent based, it looks fabulous all year round.

A garden designer lives here. But they won't be practising, it's not their job, but just like an artist they know which colours go together.

There's very few flowers in this garden, it's unusual foliage and leaf shapes. It's accent plants and ground covers. There's sandstone and pebbles. It's low maintenance.

Check it out next time you're going 50kms an hour through Menangle. I've heard the milkshakes are amazing now at the old cafe. Get one and wander down to this garden. You can blow bubbles as you're checking it out.

P.S The owner contacted me and has invited me for coffee. Hopefully cakes too.

I'm cooking Pizzas tonight using Lebanese Bread.
It's so simple and so delicious and it's got so few ingredients you won't believe it.

I've spread Tomato paste over the bread using the back of a spoon. Then I've put 3 slices of Salami and Cabanossi cut very thin. I've sliced a Mushroom very thin too.

Then I've added marinated Spanish onion.
This is so simple. Simply slice a Spanish onion as thin as possible, put it in a jar, then fill it with Vinegar. You can use it straight away. Spread it sparingly over the Pizza.

Then add Black Olives and Mozzarella Cheese very sparingly. Yes everything is sparingly for this Pizza.
This must be why it tastes so delicious.

Grill in your oven on 180 for about 10- 15 mins.
Don't go away, it cooks before your eyes.
Dan loves this Pizza hot or cold. He takes it for lunch. Yes it's incredible and so tasty.
You must try this.

Clover and Bindi are thriving this winter due to all the rain. I've already told Khaled that it's time to spray, but he won't think about it again until the bindi are sticking in his family's feet.

You need to pick the perfect day to spray. The spray can drift in the wind and cause damage to other plants in your garden. Roses and Grevilleas are highly susceptible to spray drift. The new growth grows distorted. It takes months before the plants recover.

Almost nobody reads the instructions before they spray, and almost everyone mows their lawn before they decide to spray. The spray doesn't work, because you've mown off all the weeds, broad leaves.

Nobody knows how big their lawn is either? The spray usually only treats 50m2. If you use the spray over a larger area it doesn't work. If you use it over 100m2 you've used it at half strength. The weeds don't die, sometimes it actually makes them grow faster!!!!

For persistant weeds like Clover you need to spray twice in 7-10 days. Don't mow between sprays. The duel action, is what knocks hard to kill weeds on the head.

When you're mixing the spray, add a squirt of dishwashing liquid on top. This acts as a wetting agent and makes the spray stick to the leaves. It makes a huge difference.

But don't put it in, before you fill up the sprayer with water, or you'll get so many bubbles, it will be like Champagne.

Whether you spray it's up to you. Some people don't like the idea of killing Clover because the bees love it.

I understand these concerns. Some of you like to spray because your dogs in the backyard and it won't like bindi.

Keep animals inside until the spray dries. Empty out water bowls and fill with fresh water. Makes sure you're fully covered up before spraying. Mask up, long pants and boots. If I see thongs I'll scream.

Come see us, we will help you choose the best product.

Happy gardening
