A new indoor plant called “Maggie” - Apr 28, 2023
Primrose makes me vomit!
Dear gardening friends
It's perfect weather for gardening. You have to love autumn. It's just so beautiful
You'll see this shrub flowering all over Macarthur. It's often called Mexican Sage Bush. It's botanically known as Salvia leucantha. This is how big it grows.
It's about one metre high.
If it ever looks untidy, give it a man prune, feed it with Tim's FAST FOOD, and it will sprout fresh new growth, and even more flowers.
It looks so fabulous with the cream fence.
There's nothing fabulous about cream or primrose. It's one of those colours that makes me vomit. When I see a cream shed, I need resuscitation. I don't do cream unless it comes with Strawberries.
But if you must do cream, plant one of these Salvias. The world will be a better place. We have them in flower, looking fab for $17.99.

We have this fabulous new indoor plant called "Maggie". I love the name, but I especially love the beautiful green leaves!!!!!
"Maggie" is super easy to grow.
She will thrive indoors in bright light.
The leaves get bigger and bigger.
We've just got a fresh batch in the nursery and we've potted them up, using Tim's Best Potting mix, which will make them thrive, and reach their full potential.
They make a fabulous "green gift".
They suck dangerous chemicals out of the air and replace it with clean fresh air.
Beautiful big plants cost $26.99.
They look amazing.
You need one.
Yes you do.
There was massive turn out for Anzac Day.
I spent the morning in Camden, and I was amazed how "community" it's become.
I discovered that I like to March too, but I stay in the same spot. I've got legs moving up and down with arms swinging, but I'm going nowhere.
I loved this photo of a man in a wheelchair, with all his badges worn with pride.
I especially love this photo because of all the street trees in the background.
Camden is a beautiful place because of all the trees. If you remembered to sign the petition for more trees in Campbelltown, then thank you. The link was in last weeks newsletter. Check it out.
You don't have to live in Campbelltown to sign it. You just can't win the $150.00 gift vouchers if you don't.
I got up early yesterday and walked the dog. I was a man on a mission.
As I walked up my street, I admired Philip Morphew's Ornamental Pear trees. He's got them growing on both sides of his driveway, and despite the terrible soil, they look spectacular.
As I walked back into my garden, I noticed the sun shining on the autumn leaves, of my Ornamental pear trees too.
I planted these trees to celebrate the birth of my children. Bailey and Dan have their own tree, that's the same age as them.
They have grown strong and tall and they look fabulous in autumn. They get covered in white flowers in spring. You should hear my bees buzzing!!!!
Then I was into the vegetable garden to plant more Garlic. I've been waiting for my Cucumber and Eggplants to finish up.
They have both produced so much fruit.
I prepared the soil with Tim's Cow Manure and Tim's FAST FOOD. Covered it with Sugar cane and planted 15 Cloves of Garlic.
Simply split each Clove up into seperate scales and plant these pointy end up, just below the soil. They sprout in 7-10 days and you harvest in November, when the leaves turn yellowish. It's so easy to grow.
We have organic grown cloves here at the nursery. Get planting.
I've also planted more Broccoli. Hayden and I are having a competition to see who can grow the biggest head of Broccoli. He's taking it very seriously.
Ask him about what he's dug into the soil.
His Broccoli seedlings are getting pampered. I've got a few tricks too.
We are open today.
You should come for a visit.
We've had so manly flowering plants turn up this week. New varieties, and golden oldies, to make your garden smile again.
You just need a splash of colour.
You'll be amazed how it makes you feel good. Flowers are cheap therapy!
Happy gardening
Tim
