Who is Mr Woo? - Oct 28, 2022

Have you got Garlic breath?

Dear gardening friends

I'm harvesting my Garlic today.
It's probably a week or two early, but with so much rain about, I'm worried it's going to rot in the ground.

I've dug the first two out, and the stems of the plants are starting to get soft, so I might have got them just in time.

I'll wash the soil off them, remove the roots with my secateurs, then hang them up by the foliage in my garage, to dry.

You can eat it straight away.
I'll have Garlic breath tomorrow.
I said I'll have Gggggggaaaaaarrrrrrlllllliiiiiicccccccc
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeaaaaattttthh
tomorrow.

Garlic is so good for you, and it's just so easy to grow. I planted this in June.
It's been a huge success.
I'll be giving lots away to friends.

I'm going to dig up the soil, add more Tim's Cow Manure, then plant Lebanese Cucumbers.

I discovered the most amazing salad last night. Tomatoes and Cucumbers cut up, then drizzled with Olive oil with a dash of Balsamic Vinegar. Lots of pink salt. Mix well, then crumble Greek Fetta Cheese over the top. Eat with BBQ meat.
Unbelievable and so simple.
No Anchovies needed.

Mr Woo came for a visit.
The lure of more roses, was just too much. He bought a "Big Purple" and "Limelight". He bought in a label for another yellow rose, he's been chasing too.

He gets very happy when he finds a new rose bush, his enthusiasm gets me smiling too.

I asked him if I could take his photo today. He didn't seem to mind. He is wearing his mask. He's normally terrified about being seen on Facebook.

His wife seems to think 200 plus yellow roses in a small garden is too many!!!!

I love Mr Woo.
He comes in here wearing his green thongs, all year round, he makes my day. We always have a laugh.

He's going to go home and hide these in the garden, like they have always been there. It must be like living in barbed wire.

He brought me in a rose flower today.
He's carried it all the way from Ingleburn on the bus. It's one called "Glorious". It's yellow.
We sold it to him in June.
He wants 2 more.

Our Potted Rose Bushes are looking fabulous today. Zoom zoom.

If you've got a garden that faces east, then these are the perfect shrub for you. They grow about 1.2ms x1.2ms. They can be pruned. Improve your soil with Tim's Cow Manure for best results.

If your growing them in pots, use Tim's Best Potting Mix. It will make them reach their full potential.

Spotted this amazing Aeonium growing in a pot, in Harrington Park.

These super hardy succulents thrive in gardens and pots, in sunny spots. The hotter it is the darker the foliage goes.

Bigger plants from $13.99. They are so easy to grow in a sunny spot.

The new Blue and Purple flowering Kangaroo Paws are going to be on Better homes and Gardens tonight.
