Spring has arrived, it’s time to garden. - Sep 02, 2022

Car going cheap!!

Dear gardening friends.

It's the second day of Spring!!!!!
I'm so happy to leave winter behind. I've never been so cold and wet.

It's going to be the greenest spring ever. Your gardens are going to look amazing. Things will flower, that have never flowered before.

There's plants that will look dead in your garden. Those plants that have turned brown, after all that rain, probably won't reshoot. You'll know in the next couple of weeks.

If they don't sprout it's better just to replace them with something new. We are here for you. We can give you advice.
We know which ones die the most.

If you're growing plants in pots, come and get our Tim's Best Potting Mix. It's worth the drive. Your plants will pay you back with more flowers and greener growth. They will give you "love" back.

If you find yourself wandering around the garden, no you haven't had a stroke. It's just spring. You've caught the bug. No not Covid, the gardening bug.
It only lasts for 6 weeks.
So get gardening.
Zoom zoom.

Latest African Daisy to arrive!!!!!!
"Popeyes" will make your garden pop.
The colours are so African.
I can hear Elephants.

These new Osteospermum look amazing. They will make your garden look happy through spring and again in autumn.
They will make you happy too.

Grow them in pots using Tim's Best Potting Mix. They grow 40cms high by 50cms wide.
They are beautiful. We have all your favourite colours. Nothing says spring like daisy's!!!!!

I've got red Geraniums growing in pots at home, and I've always thought that it was Geranium "Big Red".

But I've realised today, that it's actually "Elite Red". It's more scarlet.
I love it.

Geraniums are the most popular plants in the world. If you've been to Italy or England, or anywhere in Europe, you will see Geraniums growing everywhere in spring and summer.

They probably bring them indoors over winter, when it snows, but here in Australia you can keep them outside all year round.

They flower best in spring and autumn, but they will have flowers nearly all year round. They can be grown in pots or hanging baskets. They can be grown in the garden too.

These new varieties flower longer, don't get straggly, and they are more compact and smaller growing. They grow 40cms high and 60cms wide.

If they ever look untidy, cut them back by 50%, and fertilise with Tim's Cow Manure and FAST FOOD Fertiliser. They will sprout new growth within weeks and flowers will soon follow.

Geraniums were loved by our Grannies, Grannies, now it's time for you to love them too.

Use our Tim's Best Potting Mix, and you won't believe how quickly these plants respond. They will flower non stop till Christmas.

We have all your favourite colours.
We have Ivy Geraniums too.
We even have Pelargoniums.
I think I'm turning Granny too!!!

Our famous Tim's Fruit Fly Resistant Tomato has arrived. This fabulous sweet tasting tomato is resistant to Fruit fly. It's an heirloom variety, that has a thicker skin, which the Fruit fly just don't like.

This secret weapon keeps the fruit maggot free, without using any nasty chemicals.
The best news is, it tastes amazing, and it's a prolific fruiter. One plant can produce hundreds of apricot sized Tomatoes.

If you love bigger fruit, then our Tim's Italian Tomato is my favourite choice. (See photo) The huge sweet tasting, "pear shaped" fruit, will win you over, with their amazing flavour.

This variety was discovered by me, while holidaying in Italy. The fruit has less seeds and more flesh. It's easily the best tasting heirloom variety.

It does get fruit fly, so pick them when they turn yellow/green, and ripen inside, on the window sill. The fruit are huge.
It's a prolific fruiter too.

We will have all your favourite varieties as spring moves forward. We have Eggplants, Cucumber, Lettuce, Silverbeet, Capsicums, zucchini and all you other vegetables too.

Don't forget to improve your soil first.
Dig one bag of Tim's Cow Manure for every 3m2. Add some Tim's FAST FOOD Fertiliser too. Cover with Sugar cane. Plant your seedlings through the mulch.
Water daily. Don't forget the Snail pellets.
We have dog proof stuff here.

Talking about our Cow Manure, I took 10 bags home during the week. I wanted to put some around the trees that I've guerrilla planted at a local school. I used 8 bags.
I forgot to take the last two bags out.

In the morning I got back in my car.
OMG the smell was unbelievable.
I nearly brought up my breakfast.
My car smells like a dairy.

You won't get this smell from other nursery and hardware stores. The Cow manure they sell has been deodorised. How do they do that? They take out 75% of the Cow manure and replace it with recycled green waste.

They do this because Cow manure is very expensive and recycled green waste is almost free. Yes you are getting ripped off.
If your Cow manure has sticks in it and it has no smell you've bought Composted Cow Manure. It's 75% Recycled green waste, and 25% Cow Manure. That's why it's cheaper.

Come for a drive.
We only sell the best products.
We are gardeners too.

I made a mistake with the Fathers Day Gift cards last week. You get a $50 one for $40.00. That's a bargain.
Times running out.
It's Fathers Day on Sunday.

Happy gardening
Tim
