Christmas trees are coming!!!! - Nov 18, 2021

Frangipanis are easy to grow!

Dear gardening friends.

Peter The Greek turned up yesterday.
"You're not going to believe what I've got you today Timmy, I've picked you out succulents with flowers."
Flowers?
"Yes you wouldn't believe how beautiful the flowers are. People don't even know they flower, they're beeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuttttifuuuuuuuul."

I can't believe we sell these succulents from just $3.99.

Peter always gives me business ideas while I'm feeding him cakes.

Last week he was telling me "you need new lighting in your shop."
Me.......New lighting?
"Yes, it's so dark in there it's scary."

5 minutes after he leaves a grandma comes in selling LED lighting. She tells me I can get a government grant, for free lighting!!!!
Free lighting!!!!!

She walks me around the shop, and before I know it ,she's sold me free lighting that costs me $1500.00 to install.

I'm not very smart.
The free lighting, had become not free, within 15 minutes.

She was so lovely.
I could imagine her baking cakes for her grand children. I hope she doesn't sell the cakes to them!!!

Anyway the company turned up within minutes to install the free lighting.
It looks amazing.

Our indoor plants glow now, like they might have some sort of nuclear radiation.

I showed Peter today.
I'd done my homework.

He wants me to buy boxes this week.
Gift boxes.
"You give them away for free".
I'm getting frightened of free things.

Our Frangipani are walking out the door.
The first thing we do when they arrive from Darwin is pull off all the leaves. They get all sweaty in the boxes during the 3 day trip.

Within a week they sprout new fresh growth and they look fabulous again. We have almost 40 varieties here. The colour selection will amaze you.

Collectors come from all over NSW to buy these fragrant plants. The most popular varieties like "Black Jack" always sell out first. But we have amazing bicoloured varieties that are my favourites.

Grow them in pots in sunny spots or plant them in your garden. They do best when they have a brick wall behind them.
This heats up during the day and helps keep your Frangipani warm in winter.

Plants cost just $24.99.
Make your own Rainbow Tree by planting several plants together in the one big pot.
Use or Best Potting Mix and they will thrive all summer long.

Collectors Plant Alert.
"Persian Shield" has these amazing purple and green leaves. The foliage is so spectacular it's become a collectors plant.
It can be grown in pots or gardens in semi shaded spots. It can even be grown as an indoor plant in bright light.
Grows 90cms x 60cms.
Prune to any size.
Plants cost $19.99.
It's botanically known as Strobilanthes dyerianus. We only have 20.

I'm a collector of Euphorbias milii.
These are sometimes called Crown of Thorns. They have these spectacular flowers all year round. They are so hardy they can grow in pots in those really hot spots.

I've got around 20 plants in my collection and we grow more plants from these and sell them here in the nursery.

The red one in the photo above is called Euphorbia "Red Sensation".
The flowers are just so Christmassy.
Plants cost $29.99.
We have 8 colours to choose from.
Come check them out.

Our Fresh Cut Christmas trees are arriving on Saturday the 4th of December.
We will have trees on the Sunday too.

Our Christmas trees are fresh cut from our farm in the Southern Highlands.
They stay fresh and look fabulous right up to Christmas. We have Christmas tree stands too. The best trees always sell out fast. Most trees will be 1.8ms high.
I'll have the price next week.

We have fabulous Christmas Gifts this year.
Indoor plants in ceramic pots are back in fashion. They look beautiful, but they also remove dangerous toxins from the air, so they make your home safer.
How amazing is that????
They are nature's air cleaners.

You still have time to make your garden look beautiful for Christmas Day. A few pots full of flowers, around your BBQ area, will impress your relatives.
We can help you choose the right plants.
We have beautiful pots too.
Happy gardening
Tim
